Guild Wars 2 - Glory is all gone

On Martch 18th GW2 will get ride of Glory has a currency. To many who don't play the game & to many who do this really dont mean much but what it does mean is players will NOT be able to level up in SPvP. Before players could play in PvP earning Glory & use that Glory to buy XP tomes. Which at its price counts almost for a whole level.

Its very odd to see ArenaNet get rid of glory. And with Glory there also getting rid of random reward chests from PvP as well, And the bonus rank xp that came with chests players will see at the end of the match as said in this quote:
"At that time we will also be removing all existing random reward chests from PvP. This means that all rank reward vendors will be removed and we will no longer be rewarding bonus chests for winning Solo and Team Arena matches. The bonus rank points that were awarded in these chests will become part of the end of match reward."

Path of Exile - Small Expansion In March

“It expands the core game and sets the pace for our ongoing four-monthly updates.” said development at Grinding Gear Games. “Today we’re proud to announce both the name and theme of the update, while teasing some of the scope of how far the Vaal corruption has spread through Wraeclast.”
As you can see from the quote taken from PoE main page this small update will be centered around players fighting the Vaal Corruption once again but this time on a bigger scale! Personally I cant wait for the update & see what Grinding Gear Games has for PoE in the future.

NOT Giving up on KickStarter - Pantheon Rise of The Fallen

Hi all. Quick update:
We are NOT giving up on Kickstarter by any means.
We are setting up a comprehensive web site that will include all of the KS info and the ability to pledge or re-pledge. This will launch when the KS campaign ends, whether KS is successful or not.
We have already started preparing to reach out to Investors. We are finalizing some spreadsheets and polishing up the Business Plan. This phase has been planned and will also happen whether or not we meet the KS goal.

-Brad

I'm kinda upset that Pantheon wont see a successful kickstarter. As the quote above and below shows not even Brad believes his kickstarter will not see the light of day, And with only 9 days left an only reaching $380,000 of the projected $800,000. However, Brad has stated wither his project is KickStarted or not Pantheon will continue to be worked on with the help of investors.

If you wanna find out more check out there KickStarter Page.

To think that a decade old MMORPG is still pulling out increases in their player base defiantly shows that WoW is here to stay & wont be going Free-2-Play like many people where hoping on for atlest a long while.

Chris Roberts & Star Citizen Sees $38 million in crowd funding

I dont think anyone was expecting Chris Roberts to have his new Sci-Fi MMORPG crowed funded, But I think even less where expecting his crowd funding to take off like it did. Just recently the $38 million stretch goal was broken adding in an entire planetary system
"Cano System is home to a G-Type Main Sequence Star that’s almost identical to Earth’s. Of the four planets in the system, only one is inhabited: Carteyna. Located on the edge of habitable zone, Carteyna is a classic waterworld. Fortunately, its planetary axis constantly keeps the northern hemisphere away from the sun, which allowed for the water to freeze into the landmasses used as the initial landing zones in 2587. Multiple attempts have been made to try to convert the thick atmosphere into something breathable, but the process never seemed to stick. In fact, over the years, every time there’s a new technological development in geo-engineering, they test it out here on Carteyna only to yield the same result." -Roberts Letter

Although I see it as alittle ambitious Star Citizen has already taken polls for the next stretch goal at $39 million and as Chris Robert says
"At $39 million, we’ll announce a new goal that will help chart the course for the future of Star Citizen in a different way… and it’s one I’m personally very excited about, so be sure to check back then and learn more!"

To me its like he kinda expects an other million from the fans, An my only question that comes up is why does it take $39 million dollars to "chart the course of the future for his game." Whatever it is you can find out more on there official page & as always happy gaming!

Mapping The World to Create a World - ReRoll

PIXYUL, a new game development studio founded by Julien Cuny and Louis-Pierre Pharand, former producers and creative directors at Ubisoft, are working on a new survival RPG called "Reroll". And although for most developers this would mean 15hour days in front of a computer, PIXYUL has taken a different step. By that I mean; the team is seeking to map the entire world in 1:1 scale using drones. Don't believe it? Check out their 1st video below!

Source: MMORPG.com

Personally, I couldn't be more excited. Although I'm keeping my excitement to a minimum its still awesome to see developers taking on huge risks & projects like this. What could be better then surviving in OUR world, Not some Dayz world or half baked world, But our own. I'm going to be all over ReRoll, but until then go check out their main site for more, & as always happy gaming!

Edge of the Mists Live - Brings in New life to WvW in Guild Wars 2

The Edge of the Mists update brings alot to the table to GuildWars 2's WvW system adding a new map for players, some cosmetic weapons, New "Living World" story lines, along with a much needed updated queue system where Arenanet has stated from their main page.
"WvW has received a major update to the queue system! If there’s a queue to join a WvW map, approximate number of people in the queue will be visible before you try to join that map. Additionally, when you’re queued for a WvW map, you will be able to see your position in the queue."

For me I'm personally excited because GuildWars 2's RvR (Or WvW as they call it) is unmatched by most games that we can find today. And its awesome to see that Arenanet isnt just updating their PvE but all areas of the game and just shows us that GuildWars 2 is here to stay. If you haven't played for awhile I think now is the time to come on back an check out the new updates!

For more information on the update visit GuildWars 2 main site & as always happy gaming!
